The Achromic AS8 Column PA System is a lightweight, portable, and feature-rich solution delivering impressive sound from a compact column design. Perfect for live PA, musicians, and mobile entertainers seeking an ultra-portable setup, the system includes: one 8-inch active subwoofer, one column speaker with six 2.75-inch drivers, one spacer, and a carry bag for the column speakers.
This easy-to-assemble system consists of an active 8-inch subwoofer enclosure paired with two column unitsone housing six precisely aligned 2.75-inch speaker cones, and the other serving as a spacer to elevate the speaker column to the ideal height. Both columns incorporate Avantes innovative SAM (Secure Array Mount) system, which securely locks the columns to the subwoofer and to each other, preventing tipping. The SAM connection also transmits the audio signal from the subwoofer to the columns, eliminating the need for additional speaker cables. For added flexibility, the main column can connect directly to the subwoofer without the spacer, making it ideal for performances on elevated stages.
Powered by an 800W Class D amplifier with a built-in limiter, the subwoofer features a versatile three-channel mixer with 2-band EQ. This allows direct connection of line-level audio sources, microphones, and even guitars, making the AS8 an excellent choice for acoustic soloists, duos, and small bands. Additionally, Bluetooth connectivity enables wireless music streaming from smartphones, tablets, or laptops.
