QTX QT15SA Active powered subwoofers are perfect for mobile discos or any live PA application where superior bass reinforcement is required. QTX Sound QT15SA features a quality, high-power 15" low frequency driver, integrated crossover and 600 watt max power amplifier.
On the rear of the unit is the amplifier section which features a direct line level input with 'thru' sockets for 'daisy chaining' the input from your mixer to any number of other powered speakers and a frequency adjust rotary knob for adjusting exactly how much bass that you need. Housed in a traditional carpeted wooden cabinet, the QT15SA features reinforced metal corners, and robust carry handles making it rugged enough for a life on the road.
QT15SA active sub has a 'top hat' fitting to the top of the cabinet so it can be used with standard speaker poles to mount your top speakers making them an ideal addition to any existing band, mobile DJ or live performers' setup. It is hard to believe that you can buy a powered subwoofer speaker with all these features at such a low price which is probably why it is one of our best sellers here at getinthemix.com
great value for money, very good low frequencies, you would be mad not to try one
I have to say I bought these QTX 15" subs on the basis that they were 'worth a punt'. My expectations were low, but I had just 'blown my wedge' on a pair of Eon-612's and I wanted something to take the strain away from the bottom end of them. They are a perfect fit! Okay, so the build quality isn't great - the first thing I did was to order a couple of top-hats (for about £6) as the ones fitted seemed to be about 38mm instead of 35mm and some beefier corner protectors (less than a tenner) - but the sound is amazing! The amp panel at the back isn't quite recessed enough, so leaves the knobs prone to damage, but easy enough to stick a bit of batten around and paint it black, if it bothers you.. As a test I stuck Peter Gabriel's "Don't Give Up" through them - there's a lovely bit of bass on a Chapman Stick at the end, which exercises any sub to it's limit. A good tight sound, deep and rich. So, in summary: Absolutely fantastic value and a good tight sound!
Great piece of kit for such a reasonable price. Going to purchase another one!!
The speaker itself is great sounding and adds an extra oomph to current setup. Had a small problem with the order but customer support were very helpful and resolved it quickly.
