I bought these headphones mainly because I cant use ANC (it actually makes me feel sick which is something that happens to a minority of people) so I was looking for the best passive noise cancelling you can get. These are pretty good in terms of PNC and Ive read a lot of reviews on PNC and these usually come up as one of the best. Some people dont find them comfortable. I am very sensitive to that kind of thing but actually I find them really comfortable. If youre looking for headphones to keep out some office noise, as I was without using ANC, I think you wont get much better than these but nothing is perfect!
Good sound quality. The problem I found with Sennheiser HD 280 Pro was the design shape. The elongated head band places pressure over the head. Also the ear pads clamped too tightly over the ears. These headphones are uncomforable to wear for too long. But have seen other HD280 with more suitable shapes.
Nice, affordable, quality headphones. I've not had them long but they've already been used on a few jobs; monitoring location audio on video shoots and also back at the studio while track laying and mixing. They have great isolation properties, faithful sound reproduction, are rugged and also very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. A nice all-rounder.
