Its multipurpose design allows for the speaker to be placed on top of a stand, subwoofer and even used as a stage monitor. The ART 710-A MK4 is equipped with a new generation 2-way Class-D fan-less amplifier, high-powered 10" woofer and the latest compression driver technology, plus a redesigned front grille.
The ART concept offers the best audio choice for a multitude of live sound applications in a plug'n'go device. Just connect your microphone, your mixer or your audio device to the speaker and turn up the volume: there are no complex menus, no knobs to understand.
ART 710-A MK4 is a unique product in its category. The compression driver with custom designed dome and high power voice coil offers unique vocal clarity and sound projection. The 10" woofer offers an extremely linear response and a precise, deep low frequency control. The transducers are produced using the most advanced assembly technologies. The amplifier delivers 1400 watts and is controlled by a DSP that takes care of crossover, equalisation, phase control, soft limiting and speaker protections.
RCF's Class-D power amplifier technology packs huge performance operating with high efficiency into a lightweight solution. Class-D amplifiers deliver ultra-fast attack, realistic transient response and impressive audio performance. The amplifier features a solid mechanical aluminium structure which not only stabilises the amplifier during transportation but also helps the fan-less heat dissipation. All the Art 7 series amplifiers present SMPS power supply section in order to produce maximum output and minimum transportation weight.
We love the sound from these baby siblings to the 735s et al so much that we had them on for 24 hours enjoying the clarity, full sound. We have tried them on their own. They are great. The low end is understandably not as reinforced as larger cabinets, but they are better than any other 10 inch cabinets we have heard. We then hooked them up with an RCF702 sub and wow! These babies come to life. We ran them at both 80 and 110 Hz crossover and for that setup they work a tad better at 110Hz. Then we ran them against a pair of RCF 735s. They held up really well. They are weight slightly more on the high end than the 735s which makes them work really well with the 702. For a laugh we put them on a single 8008 twin 18 sub. OK! They looked silly but with the sub at 25% and the 710s at 50-60% they really sounded excellent. We are massive fans and these are a GREAT addition to our RCF gear. Footnote: They also work well as floor wedges for monitoring etc. It is difficult to judge how the FIRphase is actually working since it is embedded within the DSP of each speaker and cannot be switched off or on. However, when we look at the sound of the setup regardless of where we put the speakers and even onto different incoming CAT II power sources, they sound prefect across the spectrum. When testing with a spectrum analyser for what goes in and what comes out, these speakers are really faithful. If interested this is what RCF say (with english translator (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nv4y_L4s5Sg&t=111s). I have racked my brain to find faults. So, REALLY minor. They are fairly heavy for 10 inch cabinets. They are larger than the average 10 inch cabinet. The only have handles on the top. No side handles. The covers are the same as all the RCF covers. Well made, fit perfectly, speakers can be used whilst in the cover, but they are tough to get on and off. We prefer to setup the gear without covers. So there you have it the amazing RCF 710s. And now, we we will have to get a pair of the real babies, the 708s. Just for when we need a lower impact visually.
