Akai Introduce MPC Live and MPC X Standalone Workstations
As ever, Akai Professional show they've been working hard behind the scenes to bring us a couple of new stand alone workstations in preparation for Namm 2017, the MPC Live and MPC X. Both have the look and feel of the MPC Touch, so are a nice addition to the range and both operate fully independently.
MPC X: Create on the go!
The MPC X is designed so you can create music wherever and whenever you're inspired to do so. It is a powerful, beat-orientated, full production machine, equipped with a clear, full colour 10.1" multi-touch display, 16GB of storage and over 10GB of sounds pre-loaded. Being and 'MPC' unit, it is natively powered by MPC 2.0 software and offers many options with regards to connectivity. It can even be used as a plug-in for your favourite DAW.
The little brother of the MPC X, the MPC Live has many of the same functions as its older brother, but in a smaller, less expensive package. Again it's stand-alone, has plenty of inputs and outputs that you have full control over (although not as many as on the MPC X), on board is 16GB of storage and it houses a multi-touch 7" colour screen. The 1.8 quad core processor (with 2GB of RAM) is the same on the MPX-Live as the MPC X and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery means the MPC-Live is FULLY portable. The functionality, portability and power of the MPC Live deliver the ultimate solution for any musician, DJ or Producer.
