The Palmer ORBIT 11 is a professional active coaxial 3-way studio monitor built for precision listening in mixing, mastering, post-production, broadcasting, sound design, and content creation. Its True Point Source coaxial architecture aligns a 6.5 midrange driver and a 1 tweeter on a single acoustic axis, delivering a uniform 120° × 120° dispersion field for stable stereo imaging and tonal balance throughout the listening zone.
The monitors tightly controlled dispersion pattern supports accurate sound translation while the cardioid-shaped front baffle suppresses rear radiation to reduce unwanted room reflections. Low-frequency reproduction is handled by two impulse-compensated 8 woofers housed in a sealed die-cast aluminium chassis with 516 mm thick walls, helping to minimise cabinet vibration and extend bass response down to 28 Hz.
Internal signal processing runs at 96 kHz / 24-bit resolution and uses FIR filtering to achieve linear-phase behaviour and coherent timing across all drivers. Setup is simplified through a top-mounted control interface that provides quick access to input attenuation, a 3-band EQ, Desk and Rear Wall acoustic presets, and an 80 Hz high-pass filter.
Connectivity includes balanced XLR analogue input and AES3 digital input via XLR, plus an AES3 Thru output for daisy-chained monitoring systems. Installation flexibility is supported by threaded mounting points and an M8 safety eye-bolt attachment, with compatibility for the Gravity Tilt-and-Swivel Mount GSPWMBS20B for wall or ceiling mounting.
Designed and engineered in Germany with an emphasis on musical accuracy and reliable long-term monitoring performance, the ORBIT 11 delivers time-coherent reproduction and extended low-frequency depth for critical listening environments.
