IK Multimedia iLoud Precision 6: Advanced DSP-Powered Nearfield Monitoring
The IK Multimedia iLoud Precision 6 builds on the legacy of the iLoud series, pushing boundaries with next-gen DSP (Digital Signal Processing) for an exceptionally transparent, linear frequency response. Engineered for critical mixing and mastering applications, this desktop monitor offers remarkable clarity and detail empowering you to make precise, informed decisions in your productions.
What sets the iLoud Precision 6 apart is its automated calibration, powered by IK’s acclaimed ARC (Acoustic Room Correction) technology. Using the included MEMS measurement microphone, the monitor automatically adapts to your acoustic space, delivering optimal performance tailored to your environment.
At its core, the iLoud Precision 6 features a 6.5-inch coated paper mid-woofer and a 1.5-inch chambered dome tweeter, driven by custom Class-D amplifiers that provide 150W RMS. Capable of producing high SPLs with minimal distortion, it extends down to 37Hz, offering a tight and controlled low-end—ideal for today’s bass-heavy productions.
The powerful onboard 96kHz DSP acts as both a linear-phase crossover and the foundation for true time and phase coherence. This results in smooth, transparent audio reproduction with best-in-class detail ensuring your mixes translate accurately across playback systems.
Precision Control with X-MONITOR Software
One of the standout features of the iLoud Precision series is IK Multimedia’s X-MONITOR software. Beyond assisting in ARC calibration, it allows you to emulate the sonic characteristics including phase response of a wide range of iconic studio monitors, hi-fi speakers, and mobile devices. You can also tweak voicing and acoustics to fine-tune the monitors to your workflow.
Adaptable to Any Environment
The rear panel includes high and low-frequency tuning controls, with selectable extensions at 35/50/65/80 Hz ideal for integrating with Atmos or other immersive audio setups. These adjustments make it easy to tailor the monitor’s response to any space or configuration.
To further enhance clarity and reduce unwanted resonance, each monitor comes with isolation pods that decouple it from your desk or mounting surface.
