We stock just about every type of DJ Mixer from all the top leading brands. They are many types of DJ Mixers on the market but choosing the right one for you is fairly simple. You first need to know how many channels that you are after as they come in two, three, four or five channels. When we say 'channels' we mean 'up faders'. Each up fader can have up to two inputs going into it, usually being either two line inputs for CD Players or 'phono' inputs for vinyl turntable decks. There is a selector switch above each line fader to select the desired input source. For instance, if you want to connect two vinyl turntables and two CD Players, you could go for a two channel DJ Mixer as you can connect all into the RCA sockets at the rear of the mixer and then select which one you want to play from the top. When you go to a four channel mixer, you are looking to connect a multiple of input sources so is widely used for clubs, mobile disco's or even the bedroom DJ running say, two CDJ CD decks, two vinyl turntables and maybe Serato. Most mixers also have bass, mid and treble on each channel, this is so that you can match the sound of each channel before you mix so, for instance, if you have one tune with a heavy bass line and one without, you can increase or decrease one of the channels bass control until it sound the same. All DJ Mixers also have headphone cue otherwise known as PFL (Pre Fade Listen), basically, there is a headphone socket linked to a fader or rotary knob to allow you to, in effect, mix in the headphones, once again, to match not only the beat, but also the bass, mid and treble to obtain the perfect mix. Effects can also be included in mixers to bring out the creative DJ in you! Filters, flangers, echo etc all all included. When it comes to size, they mainly come in three sizes, most of the two/three channel DJ Mixers at 10" wide, four channel mixers come in either 12" or 19" rack mount size. The 19" ones having rack 'ears' so that you have the option to screw it into a rack case. So there it is, a little info on choosing the correct DJ Mixer for your application but don't forget, we are just a phone call away for any advice needed and for the best UK price.
